Expand your palate and your bookshelf! Join us for a unique book-tasting where you'll try new books and new flavors. Each participant will take a Miracle Berry tablet, which temporarily changes how foods taste.

We’re exploring the great outdoors through science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Learn about cyanotypes, create nature-inspired art, and do an egg drop off the library balcony! 

Make music with a bucket and drumsticks in this fun, hands-on workshop! Learn basic rhythms, play games, and create your own beats. 

No experience is needed. All materials will be provided. 

Stop by and make some crafts! This month, teens can learn how to bind a notebook and paint a tiny masterpiece to be displayed in the Teen Department. 

What can you make with a waffle iron? Cinnamon rolls? Pizza? Cookies? Learn to create quick and easy snacks using a waffle iron, and take home some recipes to try yourself. Please note any allergies when you register.

Grab a towel or yoga mat, and meet us in Central Park for a laid-back reading hangout! Bring your current read or choose one of ours, relax, and chat with fellow book lovers in the sunshine (or shade). 

Dive into cool science, tech, engineering, art, and math without breaking a sweat! Experiment with automatons, create edible water spheres, and more, all in the comfort of the air-conditioned library. 

Stop by and make some crafts! This month, teens will use beads to make a lizard keychain or houseplant decoration.

No registration is needed; this is a come-and-go event. While supplies last.

What’s more fun than candy? Experimenting with it! Join us for hands-on science as we explore the sweet side of chemistry with rock candy, chewing gum, and more. You’ll even get to make some treats to take home.
