Program Description

Event Details

Nancy Ann Morgan Hart was better known as Aunt Nancy to her family and neighbors.  Much of what is known of her is wrapped in folklore, and it's often hard to decipher fact from fiction.  Nancy was a tough, resourceful frontier woman.  Though some may claim she didn’t exist at all, she did live and was a great heroine of early Colonial America.  She truly was the Original Pioneer Woman, a prominent figure during the American Revolution, and spent her last years here in Henderson, Ky, back when the area was known as “The Wilds of the West”.   This presentation is dedicated in her memory.
