Program Description

Event Details

The Monument Restoration Fund, under the oversight of the Friends of the Henderson County Public Library, continues the vision begun by the Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society. Its mission is to preserve cemetery monuments.  In this one-of-a-kind project, we collaborated with the General Evan Shelby and Lieutenant Robert Howson Hooe Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as the Webster County Historical and Genealogical Society.  We will gather in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, Kentucky, to rededicate the monuments of Frances Bruce (1866-1867) and Infant Son Bruce (1872–1872).
