Join Henderson native Nathan Gower for a celebration of his recently published debut novel, The Act of Disappearing. The event will feature a conversation with local author Joey Goebel and will conclude with a reception and book signing.
The Act of Disappearing is a page-turning debut novel about a haunting photograph that captured a woman's death, and the young writer hired to investigate the incredible, heartbreaking story behind it, for fans of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, The Dollhouse, and The Last Story of Mina Lee.
Nathan Gower holds an MFA in fiction writing from Spalding University and a PhD in humanities with emphasis in aesthetics and creativity from the University of Louisville. His work has been published in Had, Baltimore Review, Birmingham Arts Journal, Louisville Magazine, Louisville Review, New Southerner, Santa Fe Literary Review, Valparaiso Fiction Review, and elsewhere. A native of Henderson, he currently serves as Professor of English at Campbellsville University in central Kentucky, where he lives with his family. His work is represented by Danielle Bukowski of Sterling Lord Literistic.
