Purpose of Meeting
Educational Fair for students in high school and college with disabilities for any diagnosis that can cause limitations in the workplace. We will be educating students and parents of free resources available to them through the Office of Vocational Rehab and AspYre. The purpose of these services are to prepare students for transitioning from school into the workplace. Work place readiness training, job exploration, self-advocacy, education and post-secondary opportunities, and volunteer/work based learning experiences.
We will be inviting students from the Henderson County School System, and partners from the Office of Vocational Rehab, and the Kentucky Career Center. We will all be working to help connect these students with employers for the opportunity to work during the summer break, in order to learn job skills and earn an hourly wage.
